After a few hours, we caught up with the kids after ski school…they loved it. We received a call around 2:00 pm to say our room was ready. While out, we deiced to have a beverage at Woods and Wedges on the top of the slopes. We had fun exploring the slopes and shaking the rust off. Before we knew it we had rented our skis and were off to the lifts. We then signed our 2 older kids up for Ski School. We arrived early and decided to have lunch (Pizza) at the Sugar Shack before heading out. The property is a little dated (although new carpet throughout) and made up of a number of buildings. We chose this location due to its close proximity to Cleveland in which we were visiting. We have a family of 3 younger children that have never seen snow. This was our first stay at Peek and Peak. The crew working that area was so upbeat and seemed really committed to making sure we had fun and we did! Thanks to everyone and there is no question we will go back, time and time again. We went tubing the unexpected second night of our stay and it was a blast. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was outstanding. The food at every outlet, and we went to 3, was just great. It seemed as if the world just slowed down a bit for us while we were there. The rooms were spotless, the outlets (of which there are many) were clean, well staffed and most important to us, very calm and relaxed. Please understand that Heidi was not the exception, EVERY single member of the staff we encountered was pleasant and had smiles on their faces. Heidi went out of her way to make sure we were okay and when we got snowed in for an extra day, there was Heidi making sure we were able to keep our room and making sure we had what we needed. I cannot say enough great things about the Peek'n Peak. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and while I do not write reviews often (although I am starting to feel I should) I absolutely must write about our stay.
